Sports News Fall Tryout Dates and Schedules set. 7/14/2008 Dates and times for tryouts as well as schedules, for the Middle School and High School, have been set for the upcoming fall sports season. REMINDER: All athletes MUST have a current physical on file in order to be allowed to participate in tryouts or practices. Full Article Football Team Enters NOC Play at 2-1 9/7/2008 The Varsity Football Team begins NOC cross-over play after a tough 26-24 loss at Mentor. The Comets will travel to Mayfield this Friday for a 7:30p. kickoff. The JV Team also lost to Mentor 7-6 and will host Mayfield on Saturday at 10:00a. The Freshman Team continued their winning ways with a 26-24 victory over Mentor and will play Mayfield on Thursday at 4:30p. in Stewart Field. Boys Varsity Soccer team begins season with 4-1-1 record 9/7/2008 The boys varsity soccer team ended a busy first three weeks of the season with a 4-1-1 record. The Comets kicked off the season with a 4 to 2 victory over Avon Lake and a 2 to 0 win against Brush. Greg Au had two goals and Cory Sussel and Colin Hammond each scored in the Avon game. Sussel provided one of the two goals in the Brush game, the other goal being an own goal by Brush. Week two starte Boys JV Blue Soccer team starts with 0-1-1 record 9/7/2008 The Boys JV Blue soccer team started the season with a 4 to 2 loss against Wadsworth. Goals for the Comets were scored by Scott Advent and Forest Paige. Next the Comets tied St Edwards 1 to 1 in a hard fought battle. Alex Knight scored for the Comets.
